I would define myself as a crazy ecologist. I started studying to be a forestry technician, and I became so passionate about it that I graduated in environmental sciences. This passion led me to specialize in marine and coastal ecosystems. That's where the crazy part comes in, so "eco-loco" would define me quite well.

I was fortunate to be born what is for me, the best place in the world, Marina Alta, Alicante (Spain), where the mountains merge between cliffs and valleys, in the mare nostrum (Mediterranean Sea). Botany marked my beginnings, but also fossils, those stones with shapes of marine animals at over a thousand meters high. As I walked through mountains, rivers, and valleys, listening to those songs, the birds called me to lift my head from the ground. That's how it started, the reed warblers in the rice fields, the goshawks in the forests, and the plovers on the beaches, where the seabirds began. Among the counts of shearwaters, some auks would appear. The playful maneuvers of the shearwaters and gannets, folding their wings to dive into the sea for a few seconds, sometimes lucky, sometimes not. That's when I asked myself, "What about me? Why not also see what's underneath?"

Well, honestly, I didn't find that peace Chinoli talks about the first time I dove in March '23 in the northern Red Sea, in Jordan. It was after a few dives that I found that peace, having the control to feel what it's like to fly. It's great to know how to listen, thank you very much for immersing me, since you showed me what flying is, I don't want to stop.

I have learned that if you want to protect the earth, what's outside, if you know the seas and oceans, what's inside, it changes your life and the way you see the world. Therefore, the way you act and live is how it will be reflected in what you transmit and protect.
